A Great Place to Start!
Some of our students have moved on to Jumping, Dressage, and Western Pleasure disciplines.
Our "Whole Horse" Approach
In addition to riding, we strive to educate our students in all areas of horsemanship. These include horse anatomy, first aid, behavior, equipment, nutrition, and much more.
A Relaxed Atmosphere
Each one of our students learns at his or her own pace.
A Wholesome Environment
At Country Trails and Riding School, we take pride in our positive "barn family" feel. Spending time with horses like our sweet Off Track Thoroughbred M&M, instills kindness, compassion, and responsibility. We work closely with Premier Equine Rehab, a nonprofit organization that specializes in the rehabilitation and re-homing of OTTBs and are proud to have several in our herd!
We Teach Towards Your Goals
Be it wanting to gain poise and self-confidence on horseback, preparing for a horse vacation or dude ranch, taking the first steps towards owning your own horse, or just looking for a healthy outdoor activity, we are conscious of your goals and teach towards them. Lessons are informative, interactive, and fun! Students strengthen their legs and core, learn correct posture, balance, and communication skills, practice patterns, play games and maneuver through obstacle courses.
A Thriving Community of Riders
At Country Trails, we offer English and Western lessons for beginner to intermediate riders on our seasoned herd of school horses. Students will learn to ride and care for their mount in a non-competitive, community atmosphere. We are not a high-pressure show barn. Our aim is that every student improves at his or her own individual pace, and that together, we all can gain greater respect and appreciation for our horses.
