Be a Part of Irvine Park's Regrowth
Like much of Southern California's wildlife, Irvine Regional Park was not spared during the 2017 fire season. While much of the 500 acres was burned in the Canyon 2 Fire, our trail guests are some of the first to witness the incredible regrowth and restoration of the park. This past winter's rain has made it incredibly green and dotted with wildflowers. From horseback, we guide our riders through historic groves of massive Coast Live Oaks and California Sycamores that survived the fire, encountering hawks, quail, peacocks, vultures, deer, bobcats, and other native wildlife along the way as they return to our beloved park.
Celebrate With Our Herd
Here at Country Trails, we are happy to accommodate your special event in any way that we can. Many find horseback riding a romantic date idea, or simply a great way to unwind from the stresses of the week. We frequently host vacationers from all around the globe who seek an alternative California experience, away from the crowded theme parks and busy beaches. Birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts, or simply folks with an affinity for the outdoors all can appreciate the natural beauty of our trails.
Affordable Outdoor Family Fun
We are one of the few equestrian facilities in Orange County to offer guided trail rides, and at $60 per rider for a one hour ride, and $120 for a two hour, we are competitively priced. Country Trails takes you on a one of a kind experience, inside a breathtaking Regional Park, something no other local stable can offer! While inside Irvine Regional Park, you’re only a few steps away from the Orange County Zoo, paddle boat and bicycle rentals, pony rides, train rides, hiking and biking trails, barbecue pits, snack bars, and more! *Please note: Riders must be 8 years of age or older to ride, under 200 lbs., and not pregnant.
Scout Badge Program
***COVID-19 UPDATE: In an effort to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on our guests, students, and staff, Country Trails & Riding School is not offering our Scout Program at this time. Please check back with us for updates, thank you.***
We offer a trail ride and workshop specifically designed to fill your badge requirements! Our Scout Badge Program includes a beautiful walk ride through the wilderness portion of our park, learning of native flora, fauna, and history of the area. While back at the stables, troops meet our horses and discuss their breeds and colors, learn the names of equipment we use on our horses, and learn to brush and groom our herd. Our rates for this two-hour workshop are $65 per scout, and parents wishing to ride along with their troop are $55 per rider.
